Nathalie Neufang

Founder & Writer

My name is Nathalie Neufang, I was born in the summer of 1988 in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and spent part of my childhood in the beautiful countryside near Le Havre, Normandy, France, which we still visit as often as possible. My family lives close to the city of Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. After high school graduation, I did multiple internships at marketing agencies and worked as an editor until I decided to become a freelance screenwriter. 17 August Films will be turned into a limited company after my move to Denmark in 2025 to join productions as a committed member of our team.

My aim is to develop screenplays mostly with historical backgrounds, learn about the fates and tell the stories of people who are about to fall into oblivion, especially in such times when their remembrance is more important than ever.

At the moment I´m getting in contact with filmmakers to realize 17AF´s debut film, the independent anti-war drama "Rescue of Noah" I wrote the screenplay for. I also decided to rewrite my first script "The Portrait" which is based on a true story and inspired by my grandparents memories of the Second World War.

Besides writing, photography is one of my greatest hobbies. I mostly enjoy a sunny day outdoors with my family and our two dogs, Swiss shepherd Mia and German shepherd Hera, and a camera in my hand.
