About Me

My name is Nathalie Neufang, I was born in the summer of 1988 in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and spent part of my childhood in the beautiful countryside near Le Havre, Normandy, France, where we still spend as much time as possible. At the moment, my family lives close to the city of Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, but we´re moving to Denmark in 2025. After high school graduation, I decided to study production at the film school, Schwerte, North Rhine-Westphalia, but had to postpone it due to personal issues. I improved my skills during multiple internships at marketing agencies, but never gave up on my dream.

Writing

Today I write screenplays about the fates of people and what they have gone through as their stories need to be told and must not fall into oblivion, especially in such times. The anti-war drama "The Portrait" which is inspired by my grandparents´ memories of the Second World War is my first script that took nearly nine years to finish, starting back in 2015.

About 17AF

My aim is to develop screenplays with a historical background for national and international independent films, mostly focusing on the Scandinavian and German market, and support my partners as a committed member of your team and co-producer of 17 August Films which will be turned into an ApS (Danish Anpartsselskab) as soon as I´ve settled down in Denmark. Therefore, I´m always willing to improve myself with every single project.

Latest Projects

At the moment I´m getting in contact with Danish filmmakers to realize an independent anti-war drama I wrote the screenplay for. I also decided to rewrite "The Portrait" and focus on my grandmother as she inspires me like all strong women of my family do.
